It’s MAP testing week! Be sure students get plenty of sleep and eat a healthy breakfast each morning of testing. Sixth graders will take the Math portion of the test on Tuesday and the Communication Arts portion of the test on Wednesday.
After MAP testing is over on Wednesday, we will resumer science and social studies classes on Thursday. We will begin learning about water and water pollution in science, and in social studies we will continue studying the rise of democracy in ancient Greece.
The MAP reward barbeque will be on Friday, April 23rd. All students will be offered a hot dog lunch with chips, drink, and a dessert. Parents are welcome to attend, but let us know if you are coming so we know how many hot dogs to prepare.
Summer school pre-registration forms are due by Friday, April 16th. Your child MUST be pre-registered in order to have the opportunity to attend summer school. Summer school packets have been sent home. Summer school information can also be accessed at www.willard.k12.mo.us
Talent night is Monday, April 26th. There will be a talent show, writing fair and interest fair. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend with the whole family!
Heads-up: Our fishing field trip that coincides with our Aquatic Resources unit in science will be on Wednesday, May 5th from 11:30-2:45. I will need several parent volunteers for this field trip, so please mark your calendars and/or ask for the time off if you are able to help. I will send more information about this later!
Have a great week!
