We’re off to a great start here at summer school! I am very impressed with my group of incoming fifth and sixth graders.
This week in homeroom we will begin work on our “Fairy Tales on Trial” unit. We will select a fairy tale and study it to find out if a crime has been committed. Then we will put the character on trial. Students may become the judge, jury, defense lawyers, prosecuters, and even bailiffs. By next week, a sentence will be handed down!
In math we will move on to prime and composite numbers, and factors and multiples. We will have some fun activities including “Corny Factors,” and “Quilting Composites.”
Thursday 6/10 is Library Day.
Friday 6/11 is Sonic Day.
Have a great week! 🙂
