Week of October 11th

It was a beautiful weekend, perfect for running a race. I was super-proud of all the Willard Running Club members who participated in the Sunshine Run this past weekend.

This week, we will kick off a new unit in science. We will be studying fossils, which is chapter 4 in the text. I should have the tectonic plates test grades finalized by the end of the week, so I’ll be scheduling a test correction day for next week sometime. I’ll keep you posted on that!

Conferences are coming up in just two short weeks. If you have not scheduled a conference with you child’s homeroom teacher, please do so asap! Most teachers have sent out letters and/or confirmations.

Fall parties will be held on Friday, October 22nd from 3:00-3:30 pm. Contact your child’s homeroom teacher or homeroom parent if you would like to help out.

Next week is Red Ribbon week. In order to celebrate being drug-free, we have several spirit days planned. Monday- dress in you favorite team gear; Tuesday- dress in your favorite decade; Wednesday- dress as your favorite famous person; Thursday- twin day; Friday- western day

Have a great week! 🙂
