Week of October 18th

October has turned out to be quite a busy month, and the next two weeks are no exception. Have your calendars ready to mark in all the important dates.

This week in science, we will continue our study of fossils. We will review types of fossils and fossil formation. We will also learn about how scientists use fossils to study Earth’s history. There will be a short quiz over this chapter coming up on Friday. There will be a study group for this quiz on Friday morning at 7:45 am.

Due to the timing of the end of the quarter, there will be no test corrections on the plate tectonics test.

It’s Red Ribbon Week! Students can celebrate being drug-free by participating in the following spirit days: Monday- team gear; Tuesday: decade day; Wednesday- dress like a famous person; Thusday- twin day; Friday- western wear

The book Fair begins this Thursday!

Parent Teacher conferences are next week. Be sure you have signed up fora time with your child’s homeroom teacher.
