Week of November 8th

I must say, I had a fantastic weekend. I finished my second half-marathon! I am proud of the accomplishment, but also relieved that it is over (until the next one)! It was a beautiful day for a race and I hope everyone was able to get out enjoy the weather.

This week in science we begin our rocks and soil unit. We will be studying Ch. 3 from the “Earth’s Surface” text. We will begin by learning about what rocks are made of, and we will also study the rock cycle this week.

The Veteran’s Day assembly is Thursday at 9:30 am. Please let us know if your child will have a veteran in attendance at the assembly. There are forms available for students to fill in their veteran’s name and branch of service.

The Thanksgiving food drive is still going! Please continue to send in non-perishable food items. Yellow team is primarily responsible for dessert items like boxed cake or brownie mixes.

Second quarter progress reports come out next week. Please make sure all work is caught up by Thursday.

Have a great week!
