Week of April 11th

This week in science, students will be learning about the adaptations of various specis of fish. We’ll be discussing how different adaptations like body shape and coloring give fish specific advantages for surviving in their environment. Later in the week, students will learn how organisms interact with their environement and each other as they compete for food and habitat.

MAP testing begins next week. We will have a kickoff assembly on Monday, April 18. Testing for 6th grade will be Tuesday and Wednesday, April 19-20. Remember to get to bed on time and don’t skip breakfast during testing!

REMINDER: School is in session on Friday, April 22 AND Monday, April 25. These are snow make-up days.

If you are interested in having your child attend summer school, please return the summer school registration form that was sent home last week. These need to be in by April 15th. Remember, we can always drop your child if you choose not to have them go, but we cannot add them after the registration deadline.
