Welcome to MAP testing week! MAP kickoff assembly was a lot of fun, and now the kids are buckled down and working hard. The MAP reward barbecue will be held next week and looks like it will be a lot of fun!
This week in science students will learn about how organisms in an ecosystem compete with one another for resources. They’ll learn about invasive species and their impact, and also about energy transfer within an ecosystem.
Our fishing field trip is fast approaching. It wil take place on May 11th from 8:45am to 12:45 pm. I will need several parents to help with this, so those of you who can, please mark your calendars. I will send out a letter next week.
REMINDER: School is in session April 22nd and April 25th.
Please be sure to return unwanted spring pictures, or pay for the ones that you want to keep. We’d like all pictures and/or money turned in by April 28th! Also, class pictures are for sale for $2 each.
The 6th grade Farewell party will be May 19th from 6-8 pm. Tickets are $5 each and will go on sale two weeks before the party.
Have a great week! 🙂
