Week of October 10th

Wow! I was so impressed by the turnout at this past weekend’s Sunshine Run. It was a beautiful day for a race and we had three of our own 6th grade students who placed in the top of their age division. Great job!

This week in science, we will finish chapter 1. Students will finish their study of convergent boundaries and we will also spend a day learning about transform boundaries. The test will be this Friday, October 14th. I will offer a study group for test review on Thursday at 7:45 am in the morning and until 4:15 pm in the afternoon. ***Remember!! Plate tectonics Projects are also due this day. It is the last day of the quarter so late projects will not be accepted.

Please help those in need in the Willard community by dropping off new or gently used winter clohting like coats, jackets, mittens, hats, and scarves. Our school will be collecting these items for Willard United Methodist Church until the end of the week.

REMINDER: This Friday 10/14 is an early dismissal day. Students will be released at 12:30.

If you have not yet scheduled your parent-teacher conference, please do so this week with your child’s homeroom teacher.

Next week is Red Ribbon Week. Dress up for each themed day to show your pride in being drug-free!

First Quarter ends this Friday. All work must be completed and turned in. Report cards will be handed out at conferences.
