This week in science we will continue our study of fossils. Students will learn a lot about how scientists study and use fossils to learn more about Earth’s history. Students will also begin compare and contrast the adaptations of similar prehistoric and modern-day organisms.
I’d like to say a special thanks to all the parents who attended parent-teacher conferences this past week. I enjoyed getting to share your child’s progress and getting to know some of you better!
Monday is a 25 cent hat day benefiting our local Thanksgiving food drive. Students may donate 25 cents and wear a hat all day.
This Thursday is our first StuCo sponsored skating party of the year. It will be held at Skateport in Springfield from 6-8 pm. The cost is $4. Parents and younger siblings are welcome to attend.
Our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive begins Monday, November 8th. Yellow team is primarily responsible for bringing in cereal, peanut butter, and jelly, but any non-perishable food items or hygeine items will be greatly appreciated. Remember, these donations stay local, so if you know of a family in our community in need contact the office.
The annual Veteran’s Day assembly is November 11th at 10 am. Please be sure to invite your favorite veteran- it’s always a special day!
