Week of November 7th

This week in science, students will finish up learning about the geologic time scale. This will bring us to our Ice Age project where students will learn to make inferences about the adaptations of animals from fossil evidence. This is the final portion of the fossils unit, so we’ll be taking the test before Thanksgiving break. I’ll keep everyone posted about the test date and study groups as the time comes nearer.

Know a Veteran? If you do, please invite them to our Veterans’ Day Assembly this Friday at 9:30 am. It is always a special time for our students and veterans. All Veterans in attendance will be specially honored and treated to refreshments after the assembly. Please send a note if you are bringing a veteran so that we know how many refreshments we need to provide.

Our Thanksgiving Food Drive begins Tuesday, November 8th. Yellow team is primarily responsible for peanut better, jelly, and cereal, but any non-perishable food item would be greatly appreciated. Food baskets are handed out to families right here in our community, so please be sure to help out if you can!

REMINDER: Friday, November 11th is a half day. Students will be dismissed at 12:30.
