Week of March 19th

This week in science, students will explore different factors that cause or contribute to Earth’s weather. We’ll begin by examining air pressure with a fun in-class demonstration and a lab. By the end of the week, we’ll learn about energy transfer in the atmosphere: conduction, convection, and radiation. Students will conduct an experiment to learn about the uneven heating of Earth’s surface and how this contributes to weather.

Third quarter grade cards will be sent home Tuesday, March 20th. Please sign and return the top portion to you child’s homeroom teacher.

Our third quarter I-choose store will be this Friday! Find your stamp cards and get ready to shop!

This week, Mrs. Whitehead from NASA will be speaking to each of the science classes. This is in anticipation of our solar system unit that we will begin in April.

Spring pictures will be Tuesday, March 27th.

Don’t forget about our annual Talent Night at WIS. Make plans to attend from 6-8pm on Thursday, March 29th! Our spring fundraiser giveaway will be drawn for this night as well.

Have a great week! 🙂
