Week of April 23rd

Our weather unit is quickly coming to an end. Students will finish out this unit by learning how meteorologists put together a weather forecast. We’ll also examine the difference between weather and climate. The test over this unit will be this Friday, 4/27 with review in class prior to the test. I will also offer study groups before and after school on Thursday 4/26. The morning session begins at 7:45 am and the afternoon session ends at 4:15 pm.

Students were given two important papers to bring home last Friday. The first was a permission slip for the team field trip. Please return the permission slip and money as promptly as possible as we need to purchase the tickets for the ballgame in order to keep our seats. The second important paper sent home was the summer school registration. If you need additional copies, they can be found here.

Please be sure to return spring portraits if you do not plan to purchase them. I’d like to have money or portraits collected by the end of this week. Also, students may still purchase class pictures for $2.

Fourth quarter progress reports will be sent home with students on Tuesday. Please sign and return to your child’s homeroom teacher.

Our MAP reward barbecue will be held this Wednesday. Be sure to send socks with your student so that they may enjoy the inflatables.

Our last skating party of the year will be held this Thursday evening from 6-8 pm at Skateport. If you are dropping your child off and do not plan to stay, please be sure your child has a ride to pick them up promptly at 8 pm.

Don’t forget!! This Friday is an early release day. Students will be dismissed at 12:30. (It is also a 25 cent hat day- last one of the year!)

Have a great week! 🙂
