Week of April 30th

This week in science students will begin our final unit of the year over the solar system. This week we’ll focus on the earth-moon-sun system, reviewing the movements of each. Students will be reminded of what causes day and night and the seasons. Students will also begin to learn about the vast sizes and distances of these objects in space. We’ll be using a combination of resources, including “Kinesthetic Astronomy” and a high interest textbook resource which we are piloting for next year.

Tonight is our Academic and Fine Arts night. Please come by and view lots of student work that will be on display as well as the annual interest fair. The building will be open from 6-7:30 pm.

The Yellow Team field trip is this Wednesday. Please remember to send sunscreen/hat and socks with your child, as well as a sack lunch. As per the normal school rule, electronics will not be allowed.

Don’t forget to return signed grade checks by the end of the week.

Have a great week! 🙂
