Week of May 7th

This week in science we’ll focus our attention on the moon and its movement in relation to the sun and the earth. Later in the week, we’ll move farther out into our solar system to examine the sun and the inner (terrestrial) planets.

The ‘Wish I May’ cake drive comes to end Tuesday. You still have time to send in cake mixes, frosting, sprinkles, and candles to help out this worthy organization.

Tickets for the 6th grade year-end party go on sale Tuesday. Students should turn in the permission slip along with the money. Tickets will be sold through next Tuesday and will not be sold at the door on the night of the party.

This Wednesday, our high school show choir- ‘Fast Forward’ – will be performing during an assembly at 1:30. To accomodate the assembly time, there will be no band on Wednesday.

Our final I-Choose assembly of the year will be this Friday at 2:50.

Summer School registration forms are due this Friday. Remember, you can drop your child if you decide they are not going, but you cannot enroll them after the enrollment deadline.

Next Tuesday 5/15 is our district Transition Day. Students will have an opportunity to visit the middle school.

All work must be in to me by May 18th.

Our last day of school is Tuesday, May 22nd. As in years past, it will be an early release day. Students will be dismissed at 12:30.

Have a great week! 🙂
