Week of May 14th

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend!

This week in science we’ll be finishing out our year by studying the rest of our solar system. After learning about the movements of the earth and the moon, we’ll now focus on what else is out there. Students will spend time learning a little about each planet in our solar system in order to compare and contrast the terrestrial and gas giant planets. At this point, we’ll see how far we can get with time that we have left in the year! Thank you for allowing me to teach your children science this year. It has been my greatest pleasure to see your children investigate and learn more about our amazing Earth!

Tuesday is our district Transition Day. Sixth grade students will travel to the middle school for a tour and information about next year.

Wednesday is the final I-choose store of the year!

Our annual 6th grade farewell party is Thursday evening from 6-8 pm. Students must purchase tickets and turn in permission slips by Tuesday morning. There will be no ticket sales at the door.

All missing/late/absent work MUST be turned in to me no later than Thursday, May 17th.

Have a great last full week!! 🙂
