This week in science we’ll continue our study of the scientific method. We’ll be focusing on identifying scientific variables and writing a hypothesis. Students will learn about these two parts of the scientific method with some fun labs like our paper airplane lab and our water coloration lab. Brush up on your scientific method vocabulary by playing scientific method hangman here.
For an upcoming lab project in science, I need sponge animal capsules. In the past, we’ve used the ones sold at Dollar Tree for $1.00 a package. If you can help by sending in a package (or two!) it would be greatly appreciated as I need need two capsules for each student. We would need to have all the capsules collected by Friday, September 7th. An example of the sponge animal capsules can be found here.
Picture day is Tuesday, August 27th. All students will be photographed, so please be sure to dress you best! If purchasing pictures, students should bring their picture money on picture day to give to the photographer.
Wednesday, August 29th is the LAST day for building t-shirt orders.
Our new student lunches will be taking place on Friday of this week. Students who are new to the Willard District will be invited to a special lunch to get acquainted with our counselors and peer ambassadors.
Our Tiger Card Fundraiser begins soon- be looking for your child to bring information home on Thursday.
REMINDER- There is no school on Monday, September 3rd.
