Week of October 1st

This week in science we’ll continue our study of plate tectonics, focusing on Earth’s layers as well as the cause of plate movement. By the end of the week, your student will have created a foldable that outlines Earth’s layers with unique characteristics of each layer. Be sure to ask them what the earth is like inside.

Thanks to all who were able to send in Snickers. I really appreciate your help. We have the amount necessary for the activity so we’ll go ahead with that next week!

Our annual building shoe drive begins October 5th. Send in shoes, any condition and they will be donated to a very worthy cause. Be sure pairs of shoes are attached with rubber bands or zip ties.

Picture retakes are Tuesday October 9th. Send in old picture packages if your child will be having retakes done.

Red Ribbon Week begins October 15th. In order to celebrate being drug-free, we have several spirit days planned including Western Day, Twin/Mustache Day, Tye-Dye/Neon Day, PJ Day, and Sports Day. Start planning your outfits now!

Save the Date! Our fall skating party will be November 6th from 6-8 pm at Skateport.

Have a great week! 🙂
