Week of October 8th

This week in science students will be learning about different types of plate boundaries and their impact on Earth’s crust. Along with these lessons, students will be constructing, coloring, and labeling a model of these plate boundaries. I’ll also be assigning our unit project. Students will have an opportunity to pick from projects that suit them in order to accumulate the points needed to satisfy the project requirements. Be sure to be looking for a handout about this project by the end of the week.

Red Ribbon Week is quickly approaching. Students were given a note with the schedule of spirit days. Start planning outfits now!

REMINDER: This Friday is an early-out day with dismissal at 12:30 pm.

Students should have brought home a letter about parent-teacher conferences. Please be sure to get these returned to me as soon as possible so that I can schedule conferences at times that are convenient for your family. We strive for 100% parent participation during our fall conferences, so if you are unable to come in for a face-to-face conference, please contact me and we can schedule a phone conference.

Have a great week! 🙂
