Week of October 29th

This week in science we will wrap up our study of plate tectonics. Students will investigate and look for patterns concerning where volcanoes and earthquakes occur. By the end of the week, classes will be reviewing. The test is scheduled for this Friday, November 2nd.

In anticipation of our science test, I will offer study groups this Thursday, November 1st. I will have one session before school at 7:45 and another after school until 4:15. Please send a signed note by Wednesday if your child will be staying. As groups were too large last time, I will only take the first 15 to sign up in each session.

Thank you to all the parents who came in for parent-teacher conferences. It was a pleasure visiting with each of you about your child’s progress. If you were unable to make your scheduled conference, please call or email to set up a new time.

Our classroom Fall parties are this Wednesday at 3 pm. You are welcome to join us!

Wednesday is also a 25 cent hat day.

Do you know a Veteran? If so, please invite them to our Veterna’s Day Assembly on Friday, November 9 at 9:30. they will be honored at a special assembly with a guest speaker, music by our choir, and will be treated to donuts and coffee afterwards. Students were invited to take an invitation to a special veteran in their lives. Return the RSVP portion so that we know who is coming.

Please let me know if you can supply any of the needs from our 2nd Quarter Classroom Wish List: headphones/earbuds, colored pencils, markers, cardstock (white and colored), small prizes for prize bucket, candy for prize bucket

Have a great week! 🙂
