I apologize for my post being late this week. The stomach bug has reared it’s ugly head in the Rasco household, so my week has been extra hectic!
This week in science we will ‘dig’ into our fossils unit. The students will have the opportunity to become familiar with exactly what a fossil is by viewing and handling several fossil samples. Through the Thanksgiving break, students will investigate the processes by which different kinds of fossils form. They’ll even be making some of their own fossil replicas to bring home and share with you.
Plate Tectonics tests have been handed back to students. I will have tutoring on Thursday before and after school for students who would like to earn back some points by correcting their test. The morning session is at 7:45 am and the afternoon session ends at 4:15. Please send a note or email if you child plans to stay.
Our annual food drive ends this Friday. Our team is collecting cereal, peanut butter, and jelly.
This Friday is a $1 PJ day!
Midquarter progress reports will go home iwth students on Tuesday, November 20th.
There is no school November 21-23. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!
