Week of December 3rd

Wow! I went to the grocery store in flip flops this weekend. It sure has been some beautiful weather- which makes hanging lights so much more pleasant!

This week in science students will continue to learn about techniques used to estimate the age of rock layers and fossils. Students will also briefly explore how scientists organize Earth’s history into the geologic time scale. By the end of this week or early next, students will begin the much anticipated “Ice Age” project which will help them to compare prehistoric organisms to modern day organisms.

Our first skating party of the year is this Thursday at Skateport on S. Glenstone from 6-8 pm. Admission is $4.

Each year, my homeroom adopts a family for Christmas. Please click here to see the letter and list of items needed. All items need to be in by December 18th! I will be sure to cross off items as they come in so that there are not duplicates.

Have a great week! 🙂
