Week of April 15th

This week in science, students will review the water cycle, focusing on how energy is transferred. Students will also begin to examine various weather factors and how they contribute to our weather on Earth. Students will begin to keep a weather log toward the end of the week, so be sure to look for that to come home.

Shhh! Don’t forget- Mr. Barbee’s last day is Friday, May 3rd. I have a couple of fun surprises planned for him, so if you’d like to help by contributing a dollar or two to show your thanks for his hard work and dedication while he was here, you’re welcome to do so!

We’ve planned a Family Pizza Night at Springfield Incredible Pizza Company on Thursday, April 25th from 6-8 pm. This is for all Yellow Team students and their families. Students must be accompanied by an adult. Fliers have been sent home with students, but feel free to call or email me if you have questions. I will need a head count by the end of this week!

As the weather warms, be sure to go over the section about dress code in the student handbook with your child. Also, a quick talk about deoderant is always appreciated! 🙂 Also, remember that students are welcome to bring a water bottle as long as it closes. Only water is allowed- soda and sport/energy drinks are not.

Have a great week! 🙂
