Week of May 13th

This week in science, we’ll begin our tour of the solar system, beginning with the movements of the earth and moon in relation to the sun. Students will get their weather tests back on Tuesday. Corrections will need to be in by Thursday.

This Thursday is our district-wide transition day. Sixth graders will ride a bus over to the middle school for a visit from 8:45 to 10 am. If you DO NOT want your child to participate, please return the reverse permission slip that was sent home last Friday.

This Friday is our field trip to Smallin Cave. Students will need to pack a sack lunch unless they ordered one from school. Students MUST wear tennis shoes on this day- sandals will not be permitted. Also, be sure your child is to school on time as the bus will leave at 8:45. You may want to have your child apply bug spray and sunscreen before leaving for school on this day as we will be outside for most of the day. REMINDER- Electronics like ipods and cell phones will not be allowed on the trip. Students may bring a traditional camera if they would like, but they are responsible for it.

Next Wednesday, May 22nd is our field day. We will enjoy games outside. Please send your child in athletic shoes. You may also want to send them with sunscreen and a bottle of water.

REMINDER: Our last day of school is an early dismissal at 12:30.

Have a great week!

Mrs. Rasco 🙂
