Week of March 17th

This week in science students will review the water cycle, focusing on how thermal energy is transferred within this cycle. Students will also begin to learn about the role of our Earth’s atmosphere. This is a fairly short unit, so be expecting preparations for a post-formative assessment by the end of next week.

It’s Down Syndrome Awareness Week! Tuesday, students may purchase a shamrock for 25 cents for use in a vote to decide who gets slimed- Mr. Davis or Coach Highfill. Donuts will also be sold on Tuesday morning. Tiger Pride buttons and bracelets made by our life skills students will be for sale for $1 on Thursday. And on Friday, students may make a donation to vote for their favorite ‘superhero’ costumed teacher. All proceeds benefit DSGO.

Students will be participating in the Choices program Tuesday-Thursday of this week. If you did not want your child to participate, please send back the reverse permission slip that was sent home with students before the break.

Talent Show tryouts are Tuesday-Thursday. Good luck to all who have signed up!

Third quarter grade cards go home with students on Tuesday. Please sign and return them as soon as possible.

There will be an assembly to kick off our spring fundraiser at 2:45 on Friday.

Have a great week!
